Our Story
Ownable began with a simple but familiar problem.
Too many students were capable, motivated, and trying, yet still struggling to make progress toward their academic and career goals. The challenge was often not ability or effort, but access to timely, personalized support that matched their learning needs, language preferences, and academic context.
As a college professor and educational researcher working closely with students across different ages, languages, and backgrounds, I saw the same pattern repeatedly. Students would get stuck on one step, lose confidence, and quietly disengage. One-on-one tutoring helped when it was available, but for many students, it simply was not.
So I developed Ownable to create a more flexible, thoughtful approach to AI-supported learning.
What began as a way to provide personalized academic support has grown into a broader educational model. Ownable now supports students directly while also partnering with schools, colleges, and educational programs to develop course-aligned AI support, strengthen implementation, provide professional development, and evaluate how AI-supported learning is experienced and used.
