Ownable® Learning was developed by Dr. Yelenna Rondon, a college professor with nearly two decades of experience working with multilingual, first-generation, adult, and traditionally underserved students who may face additional barriers to reaching their academic and career goals. Her interdisciplinary expertise in education, research and evaluation, economics, and finance informs both the design of Ownable and the evaluation of its impact.
Her research-of-practice approach connects educational research with direct classroom experience. Each Ownable learning experience is thoughtfully designed to strengthen reasoning, confidence, persistence, and independent learning. For institutions, that same expertise supports responsible implementation, evaluation of student engagement and outcomes, understanding how different students experience and benefit from the support, and grant reporting.
